Hi, I’m Marjorie and I created this website to give those with Pityrosporum Folliculitis, like myself, a common place to share our experiences.

My goal is for this blog to serve as a community – allowing for people to come together to ask and answer questions concerning this stubborn condition that has a tendency to come back.

On this site, you’ll find blog posts on topics ranging from the latest research articles to product reviews, and so much more. And, since I enjoy reading any and everything I can get my hands on regarding Pityrosporum folliculitis, if you come across something old, new, exciting or different, please send it my way. I would love to write about it.

If you’d like to share your story, guess what? I’d love to post it! This is just one of the many ways we can learn and raise more awareness about a condition that is often misdiagnosed.

Are you a doctor, researcher or other healthcare professional familiar with Pityrosporum folliculitis? You’re needed, too! I’d love to interview you or have you appear on the blog. Let’s talk!

Who am I?

I’m just someone who has gone through what you’ve gone through. Yes, I used to live this nightmare, too. So, I can relate to what you’ve experienced, to some extent. Often times I write about my own experience, and while I have made a lot of progress, this is still a journey for me, too and I’m happy to share all of it right here with you. Want to know more about me? Well, here are some fun and mildly interesting facts about me!

  • I’m a wife and a mom.
  • I met my husband on Match.com!
  • We have an orange tabby. He’s the most talkative cat I know, and I’ve known many cats.
  • I worked as an Epidemiologist (the study of the patterns, frequency, causes and effects of infections, diseases, and health-related events) for almost 10 years.
  • I have a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a master’s degree in Biochemistry. Gooo science!
  • I still have my wisdom teeth! Can you believe that?
  • I’d love to do an IronMan Triathlon one day. One day.
  • I once was an adjunct instructor.
  • I almost died from a severe allergic reaction, but I still don’t know what caused it.
  • I don’t have a middle name. Who doesn’t have a middle name these days?
  • I’m a huge movie buff - especially Medieval movies. Think Gladiator, 300…
  • I love swimming but I was always too scared to learn how to dive. There’s something about diving head first into a huge body of water.

Marjorie’s mission with “The Pityrosporum Folliculitis Blog” is to provide a common place where people can share their thoughts and personal experience, while engaging in similar meaningful discussions regarding related topics involving Pityrosporum folliculitis.
